Where: Singapore Who: The Wanderlustin' Couple, Mamita, Papi, Aaron, Alexi also with Diane When: Feb 2012 What: to do in Singapore What we did in SG:
1. Marina Bay Sands When in SG can't afford to miss one of its classiest and luxurious hotels that has an infinity Pool overlooking the city. 2. Universal Studios Like with going to any other countries, bring out the kid and the movie fan in you in this awesome theme park. 3. Shopping Shop til you drop as you explore retail haven from the lavish and luxurious brands to cheap but good buys in markets. 4. Food I'll name foods you should try but not describe because it will take so long just do your research (google maybe) alright?Chicken rice Wonton Carrot cake (chai tow kuay) Chili crab Bak kut teh (pork rib tea) Sambal stingray Fried Hokkien mee Economy rice - best value meals you can get at food courts. Choose of meats, veggies & side dishes to with white rice Bak kwa - This is my personal favorite. This chewy snack is like salty-sweet BBQ jerky. Bee Cheng Hiang is my brand. 5. Night life at Clark Quay Thanks to Mrs. Wanderlust's schoolmate and friend Diane, she was able to accompany us after office hours (yes, industrious) to where people our age (youths) go and hang out. Clark Quay (pronounced by locals as 'clarky') is a riverside festival village dedicated to good times, combining dining, shopping and a heritage inspired Disney-style adventure ride. So there we chilled out in a outdoor -ish bar with a nice view of the river. And not to our surprise, so many 'kabayans' or other Filipinos working there made sure we had a good time, drank Tiger Beer and after a few bottles Mr. Wanderlust and Aaron rode a 'catapult' ride. Scary as sh*t but well worth it. 6. Tech & gadgets shopping at their malls There are also lots of local bloggers in SG that you can always check out and ask your friend working in SG. They can help you have great time.
