Boracay Island

Located at region 6 of the Philippines, 2 km north-western tip of Panay Island. The sand in this island is really white as it can get and as fine as talcum powder. Probably the whitest and finest sand in the world. (See for yourself). That is why no doubt tourists from all over the world flock Boracay Island, and since then it has been the leading tourism spot in the whole country.

How to get there:

From Manila, the country's capital city (or on most commercial airlines of the Philippines), you can easily catch a flight to Caticlan Airport in Panay island.


Alternatively you can also find flights to Kalibo, one may also take the Manila-Kalibo flight however, there is extra travel time 1 1/2 hours by bus to and from Caticlan.  Flight time from Manila to Caticlan is approximatelyt 50 minutes


By sea from Manila, there are also available luxury and romantic cruise in 17 hour travel time for the adventurous and romantics, just do a little research and you can find out what you are looking for.

Where to stay:

Boracay is one of most developed tourist spots in the country, and different accommodations range from very cheap, homestay or apartment which may be a bit far from the beach, to ultra expensive but luxurious beachfront private house with pool. Just know your budget, and your extra features you like such as beachfront, pool, etc. And I am sure you can find one that suits your needs.

What to do:

Being a tourist spot, one can never run out of activities in Boracay. 
For the party people, wait 'til the sun sets, follow the lights, sounds and people, pretty sure you'll find a good spot. 
For the people who doesn't want crowds and just want a peaceful spot, there are also places to go.
For the foodies, you can never run out of food choices to choose from. Best local foods to fast food are available.
For the sports / adventure people, jumping from high diving board to scuba, snorkel etc. 
For the shopaholics, there are also few malls and local shopping areas in beach.

Of course the typical motor sports and beach activities such as boat cruise, jet ski, para-sailing are available. As mentioned, whatever kind of folk are you, you can enjoy and have a good time in this slice of paradise.
